In 2024, the ten most popular wind turbine models accounted for 21% of the global market. The total number of installed turbines of these models was 4,881 units out of 23,098.

  2. Vestas V150-4.5 (Denmark) – 836 units, 4.5 MW
  3. Envision EN-200/6.25 (China) – 462 units, 6.25 MW
  4. Mingyang MySE 5.0-193 (China) – 441 units, 5 MW
  5. Vestas V162-6.x EnVentus (Denmark) – 404 units, ~6 MW
  6. Windey WD200-6250 (China) – 391 units, 6.25 MW
  7. Envision EN-156/3.3 (China) – 384 units, 3.3 MW
  8. Goldwind GW204-5600H (China) – 371 units, 5.6 MW
  9. GE Vernova 2.8-127 (USA) – 369 units, 2.8 MW
  10. Envision EN-200/5.0 (China) – 340 units, 5 MW

Basic data:

  • Chinese manufacturers are represented by seven models.
  • Western manufacturers: Vestas (2 models) and GE Vernova (1 model).
  • Turbine capacity varies from 2.8 MW to 6.25 MW.
  • Most models are designed to operate at low wind speeds.
  • The height of the towers ranges from 100 to 170 meters.

The leader in terms of the number of installations was the Goldwind GW 191-5000H model. Vestas took second and fifth places. Envision is represented by three models on the list.
