A new milestone in Solar Energy

The world’s largest offshore solar power plant has been commissioned in Shandong Province, China. The 320 MW project is built on water close to the coastline, allowing for efficient use of space and improved cooling of the solar panels.

The plant is capable of generating 550 million kWh of electricity annually, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 450,000 tons. This is in line with China’s strategic goals to accelerate the transition to renewable energy and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.

The project highlights the growing importance of innovative solutions in the renewable energy sector, especially in countries with high electricity demand and limited land resources.
